Holy Shinickyies.

Day Two and I'm already freaking out. FINALLY got my phone number. YAY. But now it's time for the real deal -- a place to stay (and get freakin settled, FOR REAL) as well as...oh right.

A job.

I haven't been to the beach quite yet, but I think I'm interested in venturing out that way and just applying applying. Apparently the market for corporate jobs aren't doing so hot, so there's that. But I'm totally okay with doing some bar/wait staff work. Bring on the customers!

BTW. The price to live here - HIIIGGGHHH...but I keep thinking about the exchange rate and all right! I ain't poor here!

And as a final note...I miss Target. TERRIBLY. I should really get a job in their corporate headquarters -- I spend most my paycheck there anyway. Hmmm....not a bad ide-er :-) (that was my OZ accent...sad, I know).

Much love! More to come! Promise!

Last days of familiarity

To help prepare myself for my upcoming trip, (omg. 3 days.) I started to look up videos of Australia.

I came across one about the top 15 things you MUST do while overseas. Done.

As well as one about New Year's Eve (feel free to forward through all their banter and silly-ness).

The last one, for some weird reason, freaked me out. Why? Because it's about the New Year. They're all cutting up with one another and enjoying themselves on THE FREAKIN' NEW YEAR. I better know some people by then. I think that's my greatest fear of all -- meeting no one and spending the majority of my time in OZ as a LONER.

If you don't know me (um, hi!), I'm a people person. I love people (and equally hate them), but crave that human interaction -- pretty much at all times. If I can't get it from someone, I'll get it from my cat at least.

I. must. talk.

So. Let's say a little pre-OZ prayer that I will have good luck and meet all kinds of walks-of-life that will love me for me. The end.

BTW. Had a garage sale today and made BANKKKK!!!! Yay me. That'll definitely be helpful, no doubt.

Here we go...

Wow. I cannot believe it's T-Minus 3 weeks. THREE WEEKS! OMG.

It's funny because when I tell people I'm leaving and moving to Australia, they always ask me the usual questions:

"How long will you be there?"
"Do you have a job?"
"Where are you living?"
"Do you know anyone there?"

I can only answer 1 out of those 4 questions, which is never satisfying. I will be there for 5 months (give or...give).

And there are already bets out for whether or not I'll be returning. My mom says yes. My co-workers say no.

Here we go. I mean...here I go. Eeek!

O. And for fun -- here's pic of me at work on Halloween. Yup, you guessed it. I was Sarah Palin. It. was. awesome. Dontcha know?
