Last days of familiarity

To help prepare myself for my upcoming trip, (omg. 3 days.) I started to look up videos of Australia.

I came across one about the top 15 things you MUST do while overseas. Done.

As well as one about New Year's Eve (feel free to forward through all their banter and silly-ness).

The last one, for some weird reason, freaked me out. Why? Because it's about the New Year. They're all cutting up with one another and enjoying themselves on THE FREAKIN' NEW YEAR. I better know some people by then. I think that's my greatest fear of all -- meeting no one and spending the majority of my time in OZ as a LONER.

If you don't know me (um, hi!), I'm a people person. I love people (and equally hate them), but crave that human interaction -- pretty much at all times. If I can't get it from someone, I'll get it from my cat at least.

I. must. talk.

So. Let's say a little pre-OZ prayer that I will have good luck and meet all kinds of walks-of-life that will love me for me. The end.

BTW. Had a garage sale today and made BANKKKK!!!! Yay me. That'll definitely be helpful, no doubt.

The Last Few Days...

Fortune says: "Sometimes traveling to a new place leads to great transformation" ... And, boy, do I need some transformation.

Technically, I don't exactly start my adventure for another 10 days, but it's my last few days here in the Corporate World.

And, honestly. Things couldn't be more awkward.

I say this in a loving way, really I do, but I can't help but feel like I really am just that replaceable.

The Marketing group has moved on, doing what they do best -- coping with the added pressure of losing someone.

But. It feels weird. Really weird. And I can't help but feel torn between two things.

A. Living out my few days here with a smile.

B. Getting the 'h' outta here for the sake of my sanity.

Alas, I prevail. And stick it out with as much biting my tongue as possible. I never said it would be easy.

In other news, things are REALLY starting to get down to the wire. And I don't really have a plan. All I know is -- I need to start packing. Not only my backpack, but my life as well.

I have this awful condo to contend with and so far, it's winning. So, I'm trying to mend my pride and succeed with a victory (as much as possible) in the end. We'll see what happens, but I know it's going to involve a lot of heavy lifting. Boo.

Sidenote: The time it took me to write this, I down an entire cup of hot chocolate. And I will not make any apologies for it. It. Was. Delicious.

Up, Up and Down Under

So. Here I am. Taking a step towards the next adventure in life. I've never been good at blogs, but this one is a must have. Only a very, very select few know of my adventure, so I don't want to go into great details, but I do know that each and everyone of you have supported me in more ways then one.

And for that. I'm forever grateful.

This is something I've been wanting to do for myself for a long long time and now -- here I am. Ready to embark!

So. Buckle up -- it's going to be quite the journey! Check back often, I'll be going through my thoughts and experiences as much as possible!

December 2nd -- only a little over a month away!
